Spanish for “oak,” Encino is a vibrant neighborhood in California's San Fernando Valley. Home to approximately 45,000 residents, Encino is one of the most notable communities in Los Angeles County. The general atmosphere in Encino is urban, and homeowners enjoy living near several recreation areas, unique cafes, and top-notch restaurants. A diverse population and lively nightlife make Encino an exciting place to reside.

Ventura Boulevard runs through Encino, and the thoroughfare is often busy throughout the day and the evening. Although some areas of Encino are busy, it resembles a small town more than a large city, with many of the stores and shops within walking distance. Encino features quiet streets and beautiful real estate with large yards and oversized lots, and the historic section of Encino is one of the most attractive areas in Los Angeles.

Residents of Encino enjoy living near some of the most exciting areas in Los Angeles County. The atmosphere is tranquil along Burbank Boulevard, where many homes feature expansive lawns set among the gorgeous hills. With several parks and golf courses nearby, residents live health-conscious lives and often spend their days walking their dogs and exercising. Shoppers will love Encino Marketplace, a popular market featuring cafes, bakeries, and restaurants galore. Another excellent venue is Encino Place, a shopping center boasting a variety of retail stops. Los Encinos State Historic Park to check out the natural spring and Garnier building on the grounds. Residents also enjoy exploring the Encino Reservoir found at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains. For a fun day hike, visit the Upper Canyonback Trailhead for a 3-mile trek with gorgeous views. Plus, Parks and Recreation’s Sepulveda Basin Recreation Park features a soccer field, baseball diamond, jogging trails, and picnic space for residents to enjoy the sunny days together.
